Baba Steele is a small coffee-pot-bodied scholar — the newest member of The Kind Robo Cartel.
Built from a reclaimed vintage steel coffee pot, a mid-century body assembled with older salvaged parts, he wears a pince-nez with mismatched taxidermy eyes, a crown of glass eyes along his lid, and a cameo brooch pinned to his hand-stitched nightcap. He speaks through an AIPI Lite conversational AI board — and what he speaks about is coffee, memory, weathered metal, and the beauty of what's been reclaimed.
Ask him about coffee and he'll carry you from the Ethiopian highlands to Yemen's ports, through the Red Sea to Cairo and Istanbul — where coffee houses became places for talk, music, politics, and trouble.
