Data Bank is a miniature, biomorphic memory archive housed inside a sand-worn seashell. Six resin eyes cluster at the front like a curious, sentient interface, while a vertical circuit-board monolith rises behind them like encoded architecture. Aluminum pyramid forms stabilize the structure, giving it the stance of a small scientific relic discovered in the remnants of another world. Four worn Private Stock bottle caps form part of the base, suggesting the cluster of private hands shaping the rise of new data banks nationwide — quiet indicators of the forces gathering behind our technologies. At the top, a single cold resin cube rests like a silent archivist, overseeing the shell’s interior logic and holding its own mysterious authority. Built from reclaimed materials and found objects, Data Bank is a one-of-one assemblage sculpture exploring stored knowledge, hybrid forms, and the eerie intelligence of cast-off technological remains.
